When
your surgical procedure is completed you will be transported by the
Circulating Nurse and a member of the Anesthesia Team to the Post
Anesthesia Care Unit. Specialized critical care nurses
will connect you to monitors that measure your blood pressure, heart
activity and oxygen levels.
Most patient's stay in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit can be from
30 minutes to several hours.
Patient's are discharged from the PACU to the Ambulatory
Care Center or to a hospital bed.
