The
Field of Radiologic Technology is a challenging and rewarding
field that demands competent and compassionate radiographers. A Radiologic
Technologist or Radiographer uses ionizing radiation to image various
parts of the body for interpretation by a Radiologist. There are several
ways in which to become a certified Radiologic Technologist. These
include a 2-year hospital-based program offered at St. Francis Medical
Center, 2-year Associates degree programs and 4-year Baccalaureate
programs. If you are interested in a rewarding field that requires
a highly motivated individual who is knowledgeable in Radiographic
Procedures, Equipment Operation and Maintenance, Image Production
and Evaluation, Radiation Protection and Biology and Patient Care,
then a career in the Radiologic Sciences may be for you.
