Co-chairs of the event were Mr. & Mrs. Brian S. Bennett.  There were over 300 people in attendance at this event and more than $15,000 in net proceeds from the event will directly benefit St. Francis Medical Center.  

“This event was a perfect mix of friend-raising and fund-raising; it’s exciting to see how it has grown in just a year. We thank our gracious hosts Brian & Miki Bennett and Lawrence Lexus. We are very appreciative to the friends of St. Francis Medical Center who came in droves to support this event, not just participants but the donation of goods and services to produce this event was outstanding,” said   Jerry Jablonowski, President and CEO of St. Francis Medical Center.

Ten amateur chefs cooked up their best meatball recipe and were judged by “celebrity” judges: Alan Meinster, of Marsilio’s Restaurant; Bob Pombo, of SODEXO; Anna Scozzari, of Enzo’s La Piccola Cucina; Wendell Pribila, former Mayor of Ewing; James F. Bishop, SFMC Trustee; C. James Romano, M.D., SFMC Vice President of Medical Affairs; Joe Egitto, Cugino’s Italian Specialties; Joanne Palmucci and Dennis Malloy, NJ 101.5

The official results, which were tabulated anonymously by Matthew Pribila, CPA, were as follows:

• Winner of the “Top Chef” Second Annual Meatball Cook-Off for St. Francis Medical Center: Vince and Lora Scozzari.
• First Honorable mention: Judy Rottkamp
• Second Honorable mention: Christy Stephenson & Camille Amadio.
• Third Honorable mention: Tony Cifelli
• Winner of the People’s Choice Award: Mary Ann Guarrieri.
