Separate refund policies exist for the School of Nursing and Mercer County Community College. They are outlined as follows:

School of Nursing
In order to be eligible for a refund the student must submit a Request for Leave of Absence or Withdrawal Form. The only exception made to this regulation is in the case of a student who is dismissed by the School. The date of withdrawal is determined after review of the student's request and appropriate attendance records.

A student who withdraws from the school after beginning classes must pay a percentage of the tuition charge for the term. A student who withdraws on or before the first day of classes will receive a refund of 100 per cent. Refunds to students who officially withdraw after the beginning of a regular term are granted according to the following schedule:

  • During first two calendar weeks of a term - 75 %
  • During third calendar week of a term - 50 %
  • After third week of a term - 0 %

Mercer County Community College
A student who drops a course any time before the first day of the associated term will receive a 100% refund of tuition.

Deadlines for partial refund eligibility differ according to term length, as follows:

  • 15-week terms: Full refunds are available for classes dropped within the first seven days of the associated term (NOT the class start date).
  • Terms shorter than 15 weeks: Full refunds are available for classes dropped within the first two days of the associated term (NOT the class start date).

A student must complete the necessary paperwork with the St. Francis Student Affairs Coordinator by the approproate deadline.
